These type of features are being baked into the new version of the channels server. So you will be able to flag a user you follow, a user in a channel or a post or some media to be investigated. The idea is that by enough users flagging things we can build up an overall picture on the backend and know when to take action and suspend an account. This would be the "thumbs down" service.
We also want to make it possible to reward users and good posts so perhaps you can "thumbs up" a post or some media and that will then get posted to the channels web page and eventually to a best post of all time ranking.

guys - this is an issue which really depresses me and which I think we can get much better. On the one hand we have mega-dedicated users (you know who I am talking about), and on the other we have people who never "get-it".
We're doing two things to improve this that will come out in the next couple of days:
1. users start off in the "nearby tab" and only move to the "following tab" once they are following users.
2. introduce-o-matic: this is a trial system that will run on the buddycloud servers. When a new user signs up, introduce-o-matic will look at new users signing on, find the three closest *and* online users, and then send an request to follow. At this point, both the existing user and the new user can then decline this request, but we're hoping that it helps create that initial "connection" that then gets the user up and running. The new user will then see that the existing nearby user has "status", "previous, current and perhaps next place" data and a channel. At that point they should see that there is something to this. And hopefully have someone nearby and speaking the same language. It's a trial and we'll watch it carefully to see if it helps.

A comment on the question "when can we get the version for s40 iphone and se mobile???" in buddycloud:
It's rather tricky to support more than 1 platform at the moment. We're working to make sure that we can do more than just Symbian S60 but it's tough.
@fahrerteur is right though: "Series 40 platform is based on Nokia OS and support Java(J2ME) apps only. And you cannot run C++ apps in Series 40. Where as Series 60 and Series 80 platforms are Symbian based and they do support Java as well as C++." – Simon, on August 07, 2009 10:20

Franq - there are a few UI problems. But on the whole we like the site and the service. It's good to know that it's all taken care of by them rather than us having to build something equivalent.
I'll pass these comments onto "Support 99translations.com" <support@99translations.com> though.
And thanks for organising the community and doing such a great job on managing the translations!

Lamaca,
Your English is fine.
We've been looking at Windows mobile recently. We see mobile usage by platforms as rather regional. For example: Nokia is weak in North America and likewise, Windows Mobile is weak in Europe (where we are located).
Could you give us an idea of your region so that we can look at this more?
S.

Alexz, I also have this problem and @elvis is aware of it.
He has tracked the problem down to something on the Symbian layer not working correctly. We have you down as a dev tester which means that could send a debug log though when it happens.
I suggest you upgrade to a debug build from http://m.buddycloud.com/dev/ (Other people reading this: these builds will not work unless we have signed them against your phone's IMEI).
Then when it happens again, drop us a debug log by following the instructions here http://buddycloud.com/cms/node/60
This won't help us fix Symbian but it's possible that a workaround would help.
