Right now the search engine autodiscovery isn't working. I need to add that functionality back in. However, you can install custom search engines from the Mozilla Addons site:

Sorry to hear you're frustrated :( . We're currently working on a new Pownce app and the friend request bug is on our list to be fixed. Some bugs will take longer than others to fix, as currently our main priority is building better performance for the site in general. -

I can't understand why these problems takes so long ... you develop your API and you develop official client ... it's so difficult to modifiy them together?
I really like pownce but it must work ... alse it's unuseful!
