I'm still confused about what to do regarding redundant and plain down right useless tags. If I vote "no" what is the implication on other's pages? How about those spammers that are on Spock just to have their fifteen seconds of fame? It's a middle of the road area that needs to be addressed. How about "related people" and "trusted contacts". Why and when should I add these? If I decline a trust does that make me a poor Spock community member? Let's start brain storming and help out the folks at Spock. Who knows..we might even graduate Spock beta with honors :-p" in Spock:
If a tag seems inaccurate to you, vote NO.
If a tag seems good to you, vote YES.
If a tag seems like spam, Flag It.
Declining trust does not make you a poor community member.
The spammers get dealt with as they come along by community voting and flagging. I hope no drastic measures are taken as I prefer services that are open with bouncers to deal with the baddies, rather than closed services with gatekeepers.
I add related people when I feel a real solid connection to them. But I feel free to save or add-trust to people who I feel aren't going to mess my profile up :-) [thankfully, this seems to be a very rare occurance involving only a small minority of people)
