songbird remote won't connect to songbird on ubuntu 9.10

Songbird remote pro won't connect to songbird on ubuntu 9.10. In connections it can find songbird but nothing happens when i tap on it. Also it crashes if i repetedly try to connect and in songbird i never get a message that my ipod is trying to connect.

Why won't it work!
