0.7rc seems to fix my problem. Was able to import 2 albums in seconds (which used to hang). Am now trying to import whole collection.

thanks for the quick response. I've tried with as little as 10 files and it still hangs. Will try 0.7rc1 and post results.

SB hangs at 'identifying and removing duplicates'.
Whenever I try to import a folder into the Library (via drag and drop or using 'scan for media', it gets to 'identifying and removing duplicates' and stays there, regardless of how many files are in the folder. Version: Songbird/0.6.1 (20080623082011) (2008061211) on XP SR2.
