Chris Chua shared an idea in Apple on January 01, 2009 05:52:
Safari Keyboard Navigation OptionsI'm hoping for keyboard navigation in Safari. It is the only thing holding me back (other than extensions, but they're secondary) from switching from Firefox. I'm a heavy keyboard user.
On Firefox, there are keyboard shortcuts such as " / " and " ' " which allow you to Quick Find on the page, and Quick Find Links on the page. The best part is that after finding, I can actually Tab around the text or link that is highlighted, to select either a link or a form element and press the enter/return key to activate (click on) the link.
I understand that in Safari, you can use Option+Tab to navigate through all the links and form elements on the page. It's really tedious and useless when you can't jump to a certain portion of the page to begin tabbing. (Imagine a long page with lots of links or form elements)
I need true mouseless web browsing but with the speed improvements of WebKit/Safari !
Please give us Keyboard Navigation options, Apple!-
