@tsullivan: I think Aaron was commenting on the lack of support for non Microsoft OSes, not at the actual message itself. – Shafiq Jetha, on August 27, 2008 05:15

To be fair, Apple creates a lot of software that's Mac-only. They are now what Microsoft was about 10 years ago.
And I don't think most people choose Linux for it's 'limitations'. – Shafiq Jetha, on August 21, 2008 17:46

Microsoft has to protect it's investments first and foremost. The fact that Silverlight runs cross-browser, cross-platform shows that Microsoft can make everyone happy, even on other operating systems.
Photosynth is still a new technology and I doubt that they will never release software for the other OSes out there, but it will take time. I'm still waiting for 3D Live Local to come to the Mac, but I'm waiting patiently.

Friendfeed comment system ideaFor Frendeed, because of the nature of the comment system, it would be pretty cool if you could somehow show this in the toast. Something like a little link graphc, or a speak bubble style graphic, or something along those lines that shows the original post, then a comment above or below it showing a connection.

Show the poster's original countryIt would be nice to have a little flag icon in the top right corner of the tweets to signify where the person is from.
Granted that there are some people that don't put down a proper location, but for those that do it would be nice to know where they are, because sometimes you need to know where they're from to contextualise the tweet itself.
