skoskie replied on June 14, 2009 17:41 to the problem "1.2.0 update not working w/ Safari 4 beta" in Xmarks:
Yo,
Running xmarks 1.2.0 on Safari 4.0 (5530.17) and 10.5.7.
Xmarks installed properly and works fine for me, but when I log onto another user account on this computer I get the SIMBL error and have to force-quit. I didn't really want xmarks installed for this user anyway.
Will 1.2.1 resolve this or not? I don't want to install it if I don't have to since the current install is working just fine on my account and I don't want to mess that up.
Let me know if you need additional info.
Thanks,
S.-

skoskie replied on February 17, 2009 22:18 to the problem "No Import Success for Any Service" in Gist:
I think part of the problem must be the order in which it is performing operations. I've taken a second stab at importing gmail. Here we are two hours later and it's managed to grab only 30 contacts but 3,629 news articles. The process of finding news articles can be done later, at the server level, after a successful import. I'm not going to read any of those stories anyway.
skoskie reported a problem in Gist on February 17, 2009 20:50:
No Import Success for Any ServiceI'm unable to import linkedin, gmail, or facebook contacts.
Linkedin just takes forever to upload a fairly small file.
Gmail imported 2 contacts and then froze.
I can't even see the facebook connect auth screen because it's in a tiny window with no scroll bars.
I'm pretty sure this is an alpha product at this point, not beta. Still, my biggest suggestion for improvement would be speed. The whole thing is dreadfully slow.
The concept is good and I wish you the best in improving on execution.-

I have installed the sync settings via SMS (well done btw) and everything looks correct in the sync settings. When syncing the phone reports that it is "sending 140 contacts" and completes this successfully. Then I get a "system error" after a period of waiting (time out?).
The only support topic I could find that addresses this indicates that the server might be busy so I tried a gain late last night and still no luck.

This is a pretty attractive offering you have here. I'm equally anxious to give it a go. It's well worth any contact data corruption that may occur during beta if it means that we can get the kind of universal functionality... assuming a good backup of course. Let's have it with the invites already!-

Unable to add last.fmI'm unable to add last.fm. It keeps giving an error: "There was an error adding your account." Any ideas? This has been going on since I signed up days ago.
