Hi
Sorry to hear you are having problems. All I can say is 'You are not the only one'. Currently we dont have a backup facility or a synchronise with PC/Mac facility but they are both something that we are considering. Also as I've put in another post - in the not so distant future we will be revisiting the whole scenario of blogger posting so that we can try to figure out what is going on - this will be done when we move blogger posting over to reblogr technology.
Regards
D.

Okay
We are stumped on this one at the moment - here is our plan - with the introduction of 1.2 we will start to use reblogr technology with LifeCast - and as a priority we will move our blogger support to reblogr which means we here at SD will be able to diagnose what is going wrong somewhat better. So while this doesn't help you all immediately, blogger support via reblogr.com should help us find out what these problems are.
thanks for sticking with us anyway and being so patient.
Regards

A Change in ProvisioningSoon (for LifeCast 1.2) we are going to move LifeCast from it's current provisioning profile to SleepyDog's account - this is going to cause upheaval for which we apologise in advance.
I've blogged about the why and the wherefore on the lifecast blog here
As always we welcome your thoughts and if you have an alternate solution or are able to get us on the Apple inside track - then get in touch!

Hi
This is a known issue to do with the blogger template and we address it with our next release, with, to be honest only partial success. When you post with version 1.2 the image that appears on your blog will be a thumbnail image, like your "Test posting via email" post on your blog. And when you click on the thumbnail it should pass through to Picasaweb as described. Unfortunately the click through functionality is currently not working for a reason we cant fathom. But bear with us we will address it as quickly as we can.
Your complete image has still been uploaded to blogger by the way - you can see it by right-clicking on it in your browser and opening it in a new window.
Also the current size of your image is 800x600 which to be honest is relatively tiny in web terms. With 1.2 you will be able to choose 1 of 3 different sizes of image so if you decide that 800x600 is too big then you wont be stuck with that size.

Damien

Damien Laughton replied on September 22, 2008 09:04 to the question "Change the date of an entry" in SleepyDog:
Hi Kelly
I have a load of points and they all start with "Yeah But..."
I think instead what I'll say is, "Ok we'll think about it seriously" - like we do with all requests that come through this site and other routes.
I can tell you though, that the next version, 1.2 doesn't have such functionality. That version is due out 'soon' as soon as we've done a beta test.

Kellyg replied on September 19, 2008 20:03 to the question "Change the date of an entry" in SleepyDog:
Wow, I didn't think that being able to change a date so that it corresponds to an entry would be such a philosophical issue. I thought that by saying that I didn't always have time to enter information on the same day that it occurs was explaining myself enough, so if not, let me clarify. If I'm out during the day and snap a picture of something that I would like to write about, (say, when I visited Notre Dame). I'm on a tour, and have the time to take the picture, but I don't have the time to comment on what I've seen. If I enter the information after midnight or the next day, the date of the photo and the date of the journal entry do not match. Now I start having journal entries with pictures on one day and comments about the picture on other days and have to go searching around to find the information when I would like them to be together. It is absurd to think that every single person who uses this application will be able to enter pictures and journal entries every single time they use it. I would hope that it was not your intention to have this application for people to use only when it's convenient and forget about what happens in their lives when they're busy. Being able to change a date so that information occurs on the date that it happened in your life is not by any means "creating a novel which is authored to suit an audience" as you put it. It is recording life!!

Hi Phillip
We store your credentials only on the phone and submit them to blogger/picasaweb/tumblr. Shortly - when we release our update which uses Wordpress we will be making use of a new tecnology, reblogr.com. Reblogr.com is a relay for blog updates so your credentials will go to reblogr.com and then onwards to the desired blogging service. At no point will we be hiving off your credentials (or any other personal details) for nefarious uses.

Damien Laughton replied on September 15, 2008 09:34 to the question "Change the date of an entry" in SleepyDog:
Hmmm - I'm dubious about why we should do this. Ultimately, when you take a photo or write a text entry the date stamp that is applied to the entry is the 'creation' date.
Kelly, in terms of analogies with printed media I think currently Lifecast works as a log or a journal whereas I think being able to change that created date or indeed change by revisiting an entry in any way morphs the log philosophy into something closer to a novel which is authored to suit an audience.
So I think for LifeCast such a philosophical shift in functionality is risky and I would think long and hard before allowing users to alter the 'creation date'.
Now I'm not saying it will never happen and I'm interested in why you want to use LifeCast in such a way as you describe, so tell us more about what you wish to do with the software and why....

D.
