When you click the markkit bookmarklet, markkit saves a copy of the page you want to mark and redirects you there; so you don't loose your marks even if the page changes. That's the purpose of the 301 REDIRECT (which is supposed to be transparent during your navigation and not appear in your browser)

Those are great Ideas.

Concerning the stickies, I'd suggest you use http://www.mystickies.com as a companion to markkit (although, it seems the bookmarklet does not work on linux)

Concerning the different colours, I'll try to provide you this functionality soon.

If you need a more heavyweight/complete annotation solution, I'd suggest http://sharedcopy.com

hi,
I just added a feature for you. When you go to your home, you will see "your personal bookmarklet" Use this bookmarklet on all your computers.

Now, what you have to do :
1- Send your home page URL to yourself by mail (IM, whatever...)
2- When you want to use markkit on another computer, go to that URL and use your *personal bookmarklet*

It seems like it's a transcoding problem. My MUA (Nokia 6610i MMS app) seems to encode emails in Latin-1. Ping.fm does not recode them to UTF-8, they appear as they are in my Ping.fm console which is served as UTF-8.

you'll be loosing a lot of users. The only thing that kept me hooked on twitter while I was trying plurk or identi.ca was receiving SMS updates from friends I still have on twitter.

Think about it. Maybe you should be patient or you will loose market where SMS is not available.
