GApps, Custom ROMS and licensing...oh myWith all the developer backlash regarding the inclusion of the google apps in custom Android ROM's is there some sort of license that they could be put under to allow inclusion in the ROM's without google losing control of them?
I see the move to prevent the inclusion of these as counter-intuitive as it just makes it more difficult to access an already free (would-be 10/10 if not for this) service. Considering that Google is still making inroads and a long hard fight with apple over the mobile market I would have thought they would do everything they could to make their products more desirable. I'm loving being able to make fun of my iPhone toting bretheren when they can't do 4/5 things i can but this move scares me. -

Nice to see a company taking this sort of feedback seriously.
Have a Dream/G1 but also had to report a problem as its not listed here, a complete listing of your products/services is crucial to the interest given a forum such as this.
