Bump this folder doesn't work

Sometimes when I press Bump this folder button it doesn't work, it doesn't bump the folder, my os is vista home premium with sp1.

When I have pile of photos and I click on the top picture, to browse it like if they were on walls then going to another picture results very big zoom of the preview one.

I would like to see program windows for example paint, firefox on BumpTop surface ;) And be able to do with them the same things as with images ;) I don't know would it be possible and how much effort does would it require?
