    Snapact Support
Sharing Snapact albums is a great way to stay connected with your friends and family.

To share your photos and albums through Snapact, you first need to download the Snapact Photo Manager and sign up for a Snapact online account. Both downloading the Snapact Photo Manager and signing up for a Snapact online account are free.

Once you have installed Snapact Photo Manager, the first step is to create your albums. The next step is create your Snapact online account. Once your Snapact albums have been created and queued for synchronization, simply click the "Sync" button and your albums will be uploaded to your Snapact online account.

If you want to remove any photos or albums, simply select the image in the applicable album and select "Remove from Album" or "Remove from all Albums" if the photo is available in multiple albums. You will need to click "Sync" again to apply any changes.

If you want to remove a published album, simply right-click on the selected published album, and select "Publish/Unpublish" album. The album title should now appear in "white" font, which indicates that the album is "unpublished". Published albums will display the album title in "blue" font.

Another method to unpublish an album is to right-click on the selected published album and select "Edit Album". The "Snapact-Album Properties" dialogue box will appear and you can uncheck the "Publish this album" checkbox.

If you want to change the privacy settings of your albums, simply right-click on the select album and click "Edit Album". The "Snapact - Album Properties" dialogue box will appear and you will have the option to change your album privacy settings. Please note that album privacy settings are only available if the "Publish this album" checkbox is checked.

Remember, to apply any changes that you have made to your albums or photos, you will need to click the "Sync" button. Nothing will happen to your Snapact online account until you click "Sync".

If you have unpublished an album, it is not removed from the Snapact Photo Manager until you actually delete the album. You can publish the album again at any time or add/remove photos from the album, change album privacy, or edit any titles, descriptions, tags, comments, or ratings associated with any photos.

With Snapact Photo Manager, you are in full control of what albums and photos you want to share and who you want to share them with.

Snapact Support replied on September 29, 2008 18:38 to the question "How do you create Albums in Snapact?" in Snapact:

    Snapact Support
Creating albums in Snapact is very easy and it's a great way to keep your digital photos organized on your computer. When you launch Snapact, you will see a pane or box on the top left side of the Snapact Photo Manager titled "Albums". There are two ways that you can create albums:

    1) move your mouse cursor inside the "Album" pane and right-click on your mouse. A dialogue box will appear and "Insert Album" will be one of your options.

    2) on the far right side of the "Album" title bar, you will see a "+" sign with circle around it. Click on this "+" sign and the "Snapact Album Properties" dialogue box will appear.

If you are creating albums by the first method, be careful of where you place your mouse cursor because you can create albums within existing albums.

When the "Snapact Album Properties" dialogue box appears, you can enter the Name of your album and a brief Description of your album. Adding a description is optional, however, it does help to identify your albums for easier searching and organization.

When you create an album, you have the option to decide whether you want to "Publish" or "Unpublish" your album. You should take note that checking the "Publish this album" does not mean that your album will be automatically published to your Snapact online account. To publish any albums, you must click the "Sync" button to synchronize any changes that you have made to your albums.

The last step in creating an album is to select your album privacy settings. Privacy settings in the drop-down box will not be available for you to choose unless you check the "Publish this album" box. The default album privacy setting is set to "Use Snapact profile default", which is the setting selected when you create your Snapact online account. You should take note that any album privacy settings that you select during the album creation process will over-ride the album privacy settings that you have selected in your Snapact online profile.

The name of any "Published" albums (published to your Snapact online account) will appear in "blue" font. The name of any "Unpublished" albums will appear in "white" font.

Now that you have created your album, all you need to do is navigate to the folder where your pictures are located. You can do this by navigating through the "Folders" pane. Once you have selected the folder(s) that contain the photos that you wish to insert into your album(s), simply click on the photo and drag it to the album(s). When you drag a photo to an album or to multiple albums, you are not actually making copies of the photos to be inserted into your albums. Snapact's innovative technology allows you to insert a photo into multiple albums without actually "copying" and "pasting" the photo into those albums, thereby using more hard drive space.

Now that you have created your album(s), you can easily add or remove photos, make changes to Titles, Descriptions, Comments, Ratings, etc. and those changes will be applied to all references of where your photos are available. No need to make changes 10 times if your photo(s) are available in 10 different albums. To apply any changes to your online albums, simply click the "Sync" button and your changes are applied instantly!

Snapact was designed to make managing and organizing your photos much easier for you!
