Tweet sending queueMany times, when I'm tweeting a lot and posting tweets that need to appear consecutively for them to make any sense, Tweetie2 will manage to get one through, but not the one before it. It would be better if the attempts were queued so that the first tweeted goes out first. Otherwise I end up with tweets that don't always make sense, since they were sent out of order due to bad connection.
snipe reported a problem in atebits on November 02, 2009 21:38:
Drafts not deleting properly if attachment is goneHere's the scenario - I created a tweet with Tweetie2, with an image attached for yfrog. Due to a crappy (non-existant) 3G connection, despite trying several times, the tweet never went through. I ended up resposting it via Tweetie for Mac, after pulling the image off my phone with image capture. Since I pulled the image off the phone, I deleted it off the phone as well. Now every time I launch Tweetie2, it tells me it can't post the tweet, despite the fact that I delete it from drafts every time. It shows as successfully deleted, and then the next time I launch Tweetie2, I get the same "cannot post image" message. The image no longer exists on the phone, so I'm sure that's why it can't post it, but once the draft is deleted, it should stop trying.

Actually, when I delete the account and re-add it (I just changed my password), it keeps reverting back to the deleted account password. I delete the account, and re-add, and it appears at the bottom of the list (which is a pain in and of itself). Next time I launch Tweetie2, that account is back at the top of the list and authentication fails, even though authentication went through when I first re-added. It's as if it's not actually deleting the old account at all.
This basically means that *every* time I open Tweetie2 on my iPhone, I have to delete the old account and re-add it.-

Crap - I think it was an add-on issue. I disabled all addons and now cmd+a works fine. I still can't find the freaking voicemail though. I'm boned. That was a really important one. – snipe, on July 28, 2009 17:13
A comment on the question "Hotkeys screwy in latest BETA?" in Postbox, Inc.:
I have tried it 10 times, and each time it moves the message to some mystery place that I can no longer find it. A search sometimes turns it up, but the one I hit command+c on is just *gone*. Re-indexed all folders, searched on all folders, and the message just isn't there. – snipe, on July 28, 2009 17:11

Hotkeys screwy in latest BETA?Command+A no longer selects all, but instead seems to move the message to the trash or archive or somewhere else. What gives?

I'm on the fence here myself. Yes, its true that Thunderbird has many of the same features (and more, with addons), but I got pretty frustrated with Thunderbird having issues and taking forever to fix - not to mention every time I upgraded Tbird, most of my addons would stop working. Many of the most important things that I get from Tbird addons are native to Postbox, so I don't have to worry about versions being incompatible, or addons no longer being supported by the developer.
But I still don't know - to me, I'm not sure if I see a compelling enough reason to pay, considering there is no appointment handling or exchange support, which is really what makes an email client commercial to me.
Don't get me wrong - I really like Postbox and am grateful for all of the hard work the dev team has put into it. Just not sure yet.-
