Good to hear, Dave. Thanks for being so responsive. I'll pick a theme this evening to test it out; my big concern is that I'll be paying ~$16/mo and then after 1 year ~$7/mo for the equivalent of a pretty online business card. I see value in having one, and definitely agree with Nectar's perspective on personal branding, but feel like more direct value will need to be offered to early adopters in order to accelerate your growth. The personal site is a great start, but I feel it's not yet the "killer app" for personal branding. I'm buying into your vision, though, because I know this is only the beginning, and that you'll be able to expand your value proposition to Nectar's community as your growth funds further development to expand the breadth and depth of your offering.
Keep up the great work,
Chris

It does makes sense, Dave.
Once I'm locked into a taste, am I able to switch it out after a year to keep the site fresh, or would I have to pay another $199? Perhaps you could create a taste marketplace, where individuals could swap their tastes or "trade-in" their existing taste and pay a small upgrade fee to switch over to a new taste.
Your thoughts?
Chris

Hi Dave,
That makes sense. I didn't notice these terms listed on your site anywhere, so it might be good to make this more clear up front. Also:
1) What benefits do I receive with the hosting package other than the site?
2) Can I host my wordpress blog on the account? This would make more sense if I can migrate my existing blog site to the hosting account. I don't want to pay for hosting twice.
3) Will I receive a separate sign-on to the hosting provider to manage the account?
Thanks!

Annual fee?Hola Nectar,
So, do you charge $199 annually? For some reason I thought it was a flat fee for the site and hosting.
Thanks,
Chris Stewart

Chris Stewart asked a question in Loopt on July 12, 2008 13:05:
How many SMS messages does Loopt actually burn?hi there,
So go here's my burning question. How many SMS messages will Loopt send in a given day, and under what circumstances? Some people are saying that everything is driven by SMS, others that only invites are SMS; which is more accurate? Please provide real number examples here for all our benefit. The install page mentioned that I could throttle the number of messages sent, but I can only change the type of messages sent, not quantity. Since I'm on a limited text plan, the ability to throttle quantity is critical for my continued use of Loopt.
