This argument about semantics is like arguing with a teenager - they are right and you are wrong.
If you are not getting an answer that satisfies you, then stop reading the blog, or the comments, or whatever gets your goat.

little stripe - I did not take Ben's use of the word rape in the article as a joke. Rape jokes in the comments are out of line - as I already said, and the people making those comments should be warned, banned, whatever is deemed appropriate - so no, I do not agree with the mod's comments regarding this type of activity.
I have no idea what the official policy regarding commenters is, but that is not what this thread was about - this thread was about the original author's use of the word rape in a specific context.

little stripes - it wasn't a rape joke. It was using an alternate meaning of the word. Rape jokes would be out of line, this article was not.

I read that article and saw nothing wrong with the vernacular used. I am more offended by the use of outright cursing (more f-bombs than I would expect) in the articles and comments. But I am also free to stop reading if it bothers me too much.
