Nice to see that people actually check the Jamlegend spam. I've tried numerous times to let them know that they need to fix this, and they've posted a banner on their site and on their Jamlegend page on Getsatisfaction.com, but these problems still happen.
As for my spamming (marking the annoying posts as "spam" constantly), I wish there was a way to mark these posts as bad and delete them right on the spot, but that's for another discussion.
Back on topic: Thanks for replying. I seem to have a problem of not being able to describe my topics very well to readers in the opening post, so as you requested, I'll try to elaborate.
-Start of summary of the idea that you (apparently) didn't quite understand-
If there was some way to filter out posts by some sort of search feature that had the number of characters as a filter for this search feature, that'd be great.
-End of summary of the idea that you (apparently) didn't quite understand-
Note: In the following example, [something] means a box (a text box) where people can type characters. (checkbox here) means that a checkbox would be located next to the search criteria that would indicate whether or not the user wanted to include or not include that criteria.
Example: (imagine this as the resulting page from a hypothetical search link)
-This is the start of the example-
Search for: [Insert keywords here] (checkbox here) in one of the following areas:
Title (checkbox here)
Description (checkbox here)
Replies (checkbox here)
You can also find posts using the number of characters:
Number of characters: Less than 40 characters (checkbox here)
41-100 characters (checkbox here)
101-200 characters (checkbox here)
201-450 characters (checkbox here)
451+ characters (checkbox here)
Note: If you input keywords, specify where you want to search for those keywords, and specify how many characters you're looking for, the results of your search will include ALL of those criteria.
For example: If you want to just look for posts that have 100 characters or less and the keyword "song", then type "song into the box next to "Search for:" and check the checkboxes "Less than 40 characters" and "41-100 characters".
-This is the end of the example (of the hypothetical webpage, I mean).-
Hope I've provided enough information for you to work with.

Sort through topics by number of characters in the title and in the descriptionBe able to sort through topics by number of characters in the title and in the description. I know that there have been other ideas that have been created to sort through posts, but I am unable to locate a way to sort through posts using an advanced filter, because I want to be able to see, at a glance, who's spamming Jam Legend.com (on Getsatisfaction) based on the number of characters in the title and in the description.

This is a guitar simulation game.
PREPARE FOR SLANDERING:
That's pushing it. If you want to have more fake imagery on your avatar, make the picture yourself and change your avatar yourself.
Sorry, but you've gotta make this easier to get behind and not sound like someone trying to play an RPG in a guitar simulation game...

A comment on the idea "Moderators and "Helpful" players!" in JamLegend:
There's one big thing that I think 1337.DeJam is missing. If everybody is a Helpful User (as compared to a "Distinguished User", which sounds elitist or at least more entitled), then that means that the people playing Jam Legend are helping it become a better place. Isn't that the goal of the feedback (and remember that good feedback would be a requirement for being a "Helpful User") to help make the community of Jam Legend a better place anyway?
Long story short, "Helpful User" is more open and appealing to "good" players, and "Distinguished User" sounds more like a title based on how good you are at playing the game (which shouldn't really matter for this topic...).
As for the badge, here are the pro's and con's:
Pro's: More people that can be counted on to give good ideas, help and tips on a regular basis without a moderator's or a staff member's help.
Con's: The spammers would get their filthy hands on it and pester the feedback for ways to become a "Helpful Player". Then, when they don't get an immediate response, become infuriated (as per the normal attitude of a spammer) and spam the feedback like normal (or not, but it's still a load of crap to sort through). As for a solution to this problem, I made an idea on being able to restrict people's posting rights (and some other stuff, too, but I can't remember what) on a separate topic. +5 pts for someone who finds the link. – Zeroblizzard (Formerly Somebody), on April 16, 2009 02:11
