Songbird FAQ set one of Songbird FAQ's replies as an official response to "How do I install Flash in my Songbird?" in Songbird
Songbird FAQ replied on April 14, 2009 17:36 to the problem "How do I install Flash in my Songbird?" in Songbird:
Under Windows:
Open Songbird and paste "http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/xpi/current/flashplayer-win.xpi" in the location bar at the top of the library or browser. Follow the installation process.
Under Linux:
Flash on Linux got a whole lot better with Flash Player 9.
- Go to the Macromedia site, and download Flash 9 for Linux.
- Decompress the .tar.gz file. If you run the installer - it will install the plugin for supported web browsers (Firefox, Mozilla, etc.), but it will not auto-detect Songbird.
- To install it for Songbird, copy the libflashplayer.so to your Songbird application folder's plugins directory. (So if you have Songbird installed in ~/Songbird, copy it to ~/Songbird/plugins. Similarly, copy flashplayer.xpt to your Songbird application folder's components directory.)
- Restart Songbird, and you should be back in business!

I installed Songbird on my Linux machine using a .deb or .rpm package, and now I'm having problems. Help! The Songbird team doesn't create or maintain any Linux packages, so we can't help you with them, either. We're totally game for helping with problems that appear in our official distribution from http://getsongbird.com. However, if you're having a problem that only appears in one of the packaged distributions, you'll need to contact the package's author for help. Links to the available packages and their authors can be found here.
Songbird FAQ replied on March 05, 2009 20:33 to the question "Where does my music go when I download it from 7digital?" in Songbird:
If you lose your music or buy a new computer, you can re-download the tracks that you have purchased. All of your purchased downloads will be stored in your "locker" area.
The locker area is pretty sweet because if you're on a shoddy wireless connection and you lose your signal for a minute, you can still go grab the tunes you just bought without having to go bug a CS rep and wait for a reply (lame). You can retry the download from within Songbird by going to the 7digital store, logging in and clicking on the link to locker in the header. You'll have access to re-download the files you've already purchased.
Keep in mind, just like those Doritos's you kept in your locker in '88 you can only grab 'em so many times before they're gone. You can download each file up to 3 times, once you have download the file 3 times you can no longer download it. For further help please contact our customer service team. The music labels set this rule to protect their content.
