Sophie replied on November 20, 2009 19:38 to the problem "I can't get Delicious integration on Flock." in Flock:
Hi,
There's been a recent change on Delicious' side, which caused the login detection in Flock to be broken. This is a known issue reported here:
https://bugzilla.flock.com/show_bug.c...
We apologize for the inconvenience and are looking into it.

A comment on the question "On a Mac: People, Accounts and Service Sidebar are gone" in Flock:
Could you please reboot your machine and check again?
If the Flock profile is still not visible, could you please provide us with the screenshot of your home>library>application support folder like this:

in my example, I'm logged in to my Mac as flockqa
Thanks,
Sophie
PS: if you select "pilot" on the left menu of your screenshot, would you be able to find your Flock profile, by any chance? – Sophie, on November 18, 2009 21:01
A comment on the question "On a Mac: People, Accounts and Service Sidebar are gone" in Flock:
Please launch Flock once, close it, then go to (your home folder)>Library>Application Support. Please make sure the home folder is the user account you've used on your Mac to run Flock.
Thanks,

A comment on the problem "No more people bar!" in Flock:
@John Fisher,
Thank you for the screenshot... It seems that your Facebook session cookies were simply not kept, which is why your Facebook account doesn't seem to be logged in upon a browser restart.
Please:
1. Logout of your Facebook account from Facebook's site.
2. Clear all your Facebook cookies
2. Force the service update. To do this, in Windows, go to Tools >> Options >> Advanced >> Update, and click on the "Force Service Update" button.
3. Restart Flock. This is important for the update to take effect.
4. Go back to www.facebook.com to log back in.
5. Important: select the "Keep me logged in" checkbox,
and when being asked, let your browser remember the password. This step will allow your FB account to remain logged in after a browser restart.
6. Restart your browser and check that your Facebook account is still logged in in the sidebar.
If that still doesn't work, please:
7. Close Flock and backup your current profile (http://flock.com/faq/show/64)
8. Install our newer version Flock 2.5.5, available at www.flock.com
9. Re-do steps 1-6
If you still have an issue, could you please start a new thread, as the original poster was referring to a different issue (scenario A)?
Thanks,

Hi,
First of all, we're sorry to hear your frustration...
Could you please tell us:
a) which version of Flock and OS you're using?
b) have you tried to disable any extensions you might have and see if that fixes your issue?
If disabling the extensions did not resolve the issue, could you please:

2) Close Flock
3) Back up your Flock profile (http://flock.com/faq/show/64#q_61799)

A comment on the problem "No more people bar!" in Flock:
@John Fisher,
It is strange that your People sidebar seems to work at times and not after you reboot your machine or log off...
Actually, could you please confirm which scenario you're experiencing ?
scenario A: your People sidebar is entirely broken, as described in the original post of this thread. There are no links, or if there are, they are not working at all. The People sidebar would look similar to this:

or
scenario B: your People sidebar logs your Facebook account out when you log off (of your account or computer user account), or when you reboot your computer. It should look similar to this:

If possible, would you mind providing us with a screenshot of your problem? Also, which version of Flock and OS are you using?
Thanks,

Sophie replied on November 16, 2009 22:07 to the question "Default Email Client integrated into the flock browser?" in Flock:
I just found your post in another thread here, which actually had more information.
I'd suggest that you doublecheck your program settings, and to make sure that whichever external email program you use, is indeed set to be the default client.
Thanks,
Sophie

@boxerpaws,
First of all, apologies for the late response, but please remember that we're a small start-up company, without a 24/7 support group...
As for your issue, please see my response to your other thread here:

@John Fisher,
Have you tried to :
1) disable all extensions or themes you might have and see if that resolves your issue?
2) forget your People accounts (Facebook or Twitter or YouTube, etc) from the Accounts and Services sidebar, clear all your cookies, restart the browser, and log back in?
3) follow Justin's suggestions? If I understand you correctly, I believe you did, but I'd like to confirm it.
Thanks,

Sophie replied on November 16, 2009 18:57 to the question "Default Email Client integrated into the flock browser?" in Flock:
Hi,
When right-clicking on a link in Flock, please choose the "Send Link via Email..." option such as in this screenshot:

-- If you have not configured any supported Webmail (Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, or Gmail) accounts in Flock, it should bring up your default email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc)
-- If you've already configured a supported Webmail (Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, or Gmail) account in Flock, it should then open a Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, or Gmail message. If you'd still like to use your external email program, please go to Tools|Options in Windows, Flock|Preferences in Mac, then Advanced tab, then select the "Use external email program" option (step#2 of this user-guide section)
Hope that clarifies it...

Sophie replied on November 16, 2009 18:46 to the question "How can you make the homepage only show your favorite bookmarks, rather than have everything you have ever bookmarked come up" in Flock:
Hello,
Are you referring to the Favorite Sites widget in the My World page? If so, the widget only collects your most recently visited favorited sites. The sites that you visit the most should then appear in it.
It's currently impossible, however, to set the My World page up so that it only shows specific favorite bookmarks, regardless of the frequency of their visits.

Sophie replied on November 16, 2009 18:18 to the problem "facebook - missing updates in people bar" in Flock:
Hi,
Flock's People sidebar only shows status, profiles, and media updates, but never Facebook applications' updates. So your People sidebar is working as expected, in that aspect.
As for the missing normal status update, I'm afraid that you're experiencing a known issue, documented in our release notes and in this bug report:
https://bugzilla.flock.com/show_bug.c...
We apologize for the inconvenience,
Sophie
Sophie replied on November 16, 2009 18:11 to the question "can I limit people sidebar to facebook only ?" in Flock:
Hello,
Would step#1 of this user-guide section be a solution for you?
http://flock.com/user-guide/2.5/advpe...
Basically, once you're logged in to MySpace and Facebook, you should see a tab for each of them in the People Sidebar. Selecting the "Facebook" tab should only displayed the Facebook updates.
Hope that answered your question.

A comment on the problem "Feeds sidebar not "feeding"" in Flock:
@Howard LaGraffe,
Could you please tell us:
- which version of Flock and OS you're currently using?
- are there any issues in the Feeds sidebar? If so, what is not working?
- does this only happen with one particular feeds (if so, which one), or with all of them?
Thanks,

A comment on the question "flock 2.5.2 makes mac very slow by exstensive read write on hard disk" in Flock:
@Kathy Moore,
We are not able to reproduce your issue on our side. This does not mean that there is no problem. However, we will not be able to troubleshoot your issues if:
(a) we still don't know if the all of the tune-up page's instructions were of any help
(b) we don't know if your profiles have been corrupted or not
Any additional information would be of a great help.
I understand that this is happening on two of your machines, but there could be a possibility that both of your profiles have something in common that could cause the crash (for ex: maybe a website you're viewing , or an add-on installed on both of them).
