Is wundrbar still in business??is wundrbar still in business? the iPhone app no longer produces any results, and wundrbar.com won't load (I get a "server can't be found" error message).

you may also need to add a zero before the last "couplet." i'm on leopard, and both the first and last couplets were single digits (i.e., 1:xx:xx:xx:xx:1). i had to add a "0" before each of them for the address to be accepted (i.e., 01:xx:xx:xx:xx:01).
based upon the comment here, regarding adding a zero to the first digit, i made an educated guess that this was the correct thing to do for the last one. the form would not accept my entry otherwise. – soundsgoodtome, on June 29, 2009 16:26

then, that should have been explained/clarified in the instructions. :-) some of us do pay attention to words, and the word "octet" has a standard meaning. if it's used in a non-standard (or context-specific) manner, that should be explained! – soundsgoodtome, on June 29, 2009 16:18

Thanks for replying, but I still don't understand. On my iPhone, the pop-up simply says "EureQa!" -- and nothing more. How is that supposed to be helpful, if no further information is given to "jog one's memory" about a specific item? :-) – soundsgoodtome, on June 03, 2009 08:41-

@Scott,
You know, I'm going to "stand on a soapbox" for a moment. I'm really tired of paranoid users going on and on unnecessarily about "privacy," as if someone is really interested in *your* personal information.
When reQall (or other apps) access your contacts or location, etc., there's no one at the other end actually looking at your data! The app accesses the data in order to perform a function that will assist you. There are 30,000,000 iPhones and iPod touches roaming around the planet -- and that number grows every day. What makes you think that someone in the reQall offices is interested in your personal data? This notion that apps that access your data are committing some sort of "infringement" of your rights simply has to stop. You're being ridiculous and, frankly, downright childish.
I have names and numbers of major celebrities in my contact database -- celebrities whose work is literally in your CD and DVD collection, right now. But I'm not worried about reQall's contact integration, because I KNOW WHY THE DATA'S BEING ACCESSED! And so do you. It's not being collected or utilized by anyone.
So please -- stop this childish whining about privacy. There are no humans accessing your data. There are no humans who even careabout accessing your data. (The moment that actually happens, that developer will be shut down, due to lack of support.) reQall is only accessing your contacts to give you FEATURES. It's there to help YOU.
That said, an option to enable the integration would be fine. I'm just sick of people whining about privacy -- and giving apps poor reviews in the app store -- not because the apps don't function, but because these paranoid people get all worked up because an app accesses their data. Then, regardless of its functionality, they give it 1 star.
So an app accesses your data. So what?! Grow up.
End of soapbox. :-)

thanks.... iphone 3G. os 2.2.1. not jailbroken. wifi.
so, i just went through the entire process again, and this time i was able to sync. (but i was in the car, so that was over 3G.) i saw my notes, then quit the app.
now, i'm back at home, but upon launching the app, instead of freezing, as it did before, i briefly see the splash screen, then the app spontaneously quits.
are we having fun, yet? :-)
i realize this is a major update. so, obviously there are a few gremlins lurking still.

thanks. i just tried that, and i was indeed able to launch the app.
but then, it wouldn't connect to the server, so i got the message about checking the email connection in safari, then emailing reqall support. so i emailed support, then attempted to return to reqall -- which, once again, won't launch.
