A comment on the problem "two coffee shops created as one spot" in Gowalla:
And the other one (http://gowalla.com/spots/15548). Shame. The spots are much more bland now! – Lee Nixon, on December 15, 2009 22:58

And as promised, I've amended the spot. If Gowalla want it changed - I'll change it! – Lee Nixon, on December 15, 2009 22:48
A comment on the question "Photos not showing on map" in Gowalla Tools:
Bless ya. Thanks for explaining things to me. As I said, I'm a bit of a buffoon when it comes to computer things. I'll give it a go...
...and bingo. It's working! – Lee Nixon, on December 15, 2009 12:56

Shenanigans!I originally posted this on http://getsatisfaction.com/gowalla/to... but it's been missed.
Another spot that I can't edit:

Gotcha. Though will this mean that all my photos will be visible to everyone, regardless of my album privacy settings? – Lee Nixon, on December 14, 2009 17:47

A comment on the question "Conditional Vaulting..." in Gowalla:
Gowalla has a vault just like PackRat - once an item is in there it can't be removed. Friends certainly can't snatch items from it.
The vault in PackRat is used to permanently store cards/collections. However PackRat is a different game to Gowalla (other than the underlying bit about collecting things) so I reckon there's credence in having a different kind of vault - particularly as your pack only holds 10 items. – Lee Nixon, on December 13, 2009 15:39
A comment on the problem "Hide your locations" in Gowalla:
Or rename it, position it nearby and increase the radius so you can still check in from home. – Lee Nixon, on December 12, 2009 21:27

Lee Nixon replied on December 12, 2009 21:16 to the question "Conditional Vaulting..." in Gowalla:
I think a lot of players would be happy with this - particularly those that vaulted items before realising they couldn't be retrieved.
It could work like the swapping of items at a spot. To retrieve an item from the vault you have to replace it with another. Let's face it, if you see an item at a spot you want more than an item you have in your pack, you swap them over!
It would be a good way of removing that duplicate you've accidently vaulted.-

A comment on the question "Photos not showing on map" in Gowalla Tools:
Nope. that's not worked either. i've adjusted the position of the geo-tags to the centre of the spots (bearing in mind I'm a bit of a buffoon when it comes to this sort of thing) and they're still not showing up. I just don't geddit. – Lee Nixon, on December 12, 2009 18:16
A comment on the question "Photos not showing on map" in Gowalla Tools:
Wow, now that's a thorough answer!
I've looked at the difference between my photos and Jo's and it may be down to the copyright bit (my photos are viewable by anyone on Flickr). I've changed the copyright to the same as Jo's - but they're still not showing.
I'll have a tinker with the geo-tagging and see if that makes a difference, although the photos are placed within the radius of the spot (according to your bookmarklet). – Lee Nixon, on December 12, 2009 17:58
A comment on the idea "Identification of Street Team Elite members" in Gowalla:
Gary - I think this is a great idea and something I hope will be integrated into the app or website soon. – Lee Nixon, on December 12, 2009 17:35
A comment on the question "Spot to delete." in Gowalla:
The devs and members of the Street Team Elite can merge spots (and can also move them further than other players, add websites and Twitter feeds).
You can either post them here or send a tweet to @StreetTeamElite. – Lee Nixon, on December 12, 2009 17:33
A comment on the problem "gps gone mad" in Gowalla:
No problems. I've gone back to a spot before to create another in the right place. It's a decent enough solution if you're able to make the second spot! – Lee Nixon, on December 12, 2009 17:30
