Also nice thoughts, but no, it's unrelated to the DVD hardware or DVD (or any other) software. The error is SPECIFICALLY LISTED by Microsoft as being caused by exceeding the 4096 encrypted file limit imposed by the government. So, somewhere, there are encrypted files, just sitting, causing this error to pop up.

I also got this error. I get it on both DVD Shrink and on ImgBurn. I've read it has to do with the number of encrypted files on your computer. But, beyond that, I can't find anything. A lot of ignorant people say "oh, it's a virus." That's why they are ignorant. It's not. But, what I can't seem to find is how to clear the problem.-
