Give an option to turn off listings that happen over repeating days
Often when I'm browsing through events, I want to see what's new happening this weekend, and I'll come across museum shows, theater shows, exhibits, and tours. I'll see these same events every weekend while browsing.

It would greatly help to cut down on browsing time for the Metromix power-users if you allowed for an option to cut out the repeating events that repeat for more than five days. You couldn't cut out all repeating events, because there are many festivals that will repeat over a couple days.

How about it? Give us an option to turn off the redundant listings.

Provide an option to remove specific event types from results
Right now you can browse by event type. But I’d like to remove certain event types from my browsing. For instance, I have no interest in see all the bajillion theater shows. I’d like to remove them. OR I guess the flip is to allow a user to browse by multiple types, and I could simply select everything, except for theater.

    Subscribe to annual events
I’d like to be able to subscribe to annual events on Metromix. Right now I’m looking at this weekend’s events. There’s the Sheffield Garden Walk, the Lincoln Square Block Party... Events that happen every year. It would be cool when I add them to my favs that I can also subscribe to them, so in future years I’ll know automatically when annual events like happen.

Video won't record on a Mac
On a Mac, I'm only able to record audio. Video does not record in any of the three options for DV Video, IIDC Firewire Video, or USB Video class.

    OS: Running Mac OS 10.4.11
    Browser 1: Firefox 3.0.6
    Browser 2: Safari 3.0.4,
    Flash player 10
Hardware: MacBook2.1 Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz

My webcam is working fine in other programs like iMovie. The video just won't record in Seesmic.
