hey 2 weeks back my dell vostro 1500 had this issue. And now my battery wont hold any charge. I had to order a new battery. And my laptop is just over 13 months old. Be prepared to buy a new battery. Ebay has some cheap ones.

I am having the same issue, My dell vostro 1500 is almost 2 years old. Ordered a new battery as my laptop is out of warranty.
