Are you able to use the sample 1 minute music file that comes with Reveal? Here's how to locate it -
1. Go to your home directory (typically something like c:\users\myname\)
2. Open the "Music" folder.
3. Open the link named "Samples (muvee Reveal)"
You'll find a file called "music.wma" there. See if you can use this file as the music track.

Hi Gurlonthesun,
Music with DRM protection (or "copy protection") will not work with muvee Reveal. That includes music that you purchase via online music stores such as iTunes. Music that you transfer from CDs into mp3 format using, say iTunes, should work though. Can you tell us which software you're using to transfer your CDs?

Please copy paste the entire ftp url up to the ...-jaxen.zip. There's some problem with GetSatisfaction's treatment of links that I'm unable to work around. – Kumar, on November 26, 2008 04:30

Hi Jaxen,
I just went ahead and created a patch for you :)
- Download the patch zip file from - ftp://muveeUserMedia:UM12oPLkadtunb9@ftp.muvee.com/jaxen_1976/patch-muveeReveal-1976-jaxen.zip
- Extract it anywhere you wish.
- Double click the "patch.bat" file and follow the instructions.
If you run into a problem with the patch, you can double click "restore.bat" which will restore whatever was installed before you applied the patch.
Let us know how things go.

Hi Jaxen,
We did recently encounter a problem similar to what you describe, regarding using long video footage with multiple shots, in the "use it all" mode. A fix is in the pipeline for the next refresh. However, you say that highlighting everything didn't get you anywhere, which is not what I observed.
Would you like to try a patch (it'll probably be a 1MB download) instead of waiting for the next refresh? I can create one for you.

Hi Jaxen,
To do that, you'll need to tell muvee Reveal to (a) not edit your video and (b) to not apply any effects.
For (a), open the "Personalize" dialog and select the "Duration" tab. You'll find a choice called "Use all photos and video". Select that and close the Personalize dialog. Additionally, if your video is already edited, you'll want to "highlight" the whole video file. To do that, select the video clip and click on "magicMoments" in the drop down menu. Give the thumbs up to your whole video file. (you can drag the edges of your green highlight to extend it).
For (b), you need to select a style that doesn't add any effects. The "Ultra Plain" style comes closest to what you want I think.
Hope that helps.
