Thanks! This is partly my lack of experience with your particular tool. I'm still a little fuzzy about how I can add my own "Django 1.0.2" since the sequence of commands for actually setting it up doesn't seem to be part of the equation; it just unzips the tar into the destination location as far as I can tell. Obviously, there's a lot more to setting up and serving Django than than that.

Oh well, without 9.0.4, I'll just have to wait to experiment with that part but, for now, yes, a raw 9.0.4 would let me set it up with other automation tools I have and would work for now.

I'm still a little fuzzy on deploying that to Elastic Servers, which is really the end-point.

I'm having trouble nailing down the exact pricing per hour for specific configurations since the site seems to be skewed towards leading people to use their monthly subscriptions which makes sense vis a vis their business model but doesn't make sense vis a vis my desired usage model.

So, if you could put the 9.0.4 where I could deploy the raw OS, that would be very helpful.

I don't quite understand how to set the specific configuration (memory, cpu, and disk space) on the Elastic Server side but maybe that's just since I haven't gone that far yet.

Sorry, this is a naive question but what would that allow me to do with it? Could I further customize it, or would I just be able to download or deploy it, then I'd have to customize the old fashioned way. I don't quite get the flow of ElasticServer vis a vis ElasticServer and/or EC2. – ssteiner, on June 13, 2009 16:46

Speaking of old versions, Python 2.6 (final) was released on October 1st, 2008, Django 1.0.2 on November 18, 2008, yet neither is available, far as I could tell, as a component. Python's stuck at 2.5 and Django's stuck at 1.0, including obsolete pre-release versions. Django 1.0 was released about a year ago. Hmmmmm... – ssteiner, on June 13, 2009 16:14

I went back into the account after logging out and the new user did exist.

The issue is that there was no feedback to indicate that the user was accepted into the system.

Obviously, if the passwords hadn't matched, there would have been a message (I hope) but it seems to just silently succeed.

I just bought a Logitech Illuminated keyboard.

Swapped modifier keys on "All" keyboards, worked fine for a week.

Now, no matter what I do, set to defaults, put them that way manually, or swap them, the "windows" key is Command and the "alt" key is Option.

I've boinked them back and forth every way and it just won't modify.

I even tried modifying the repeat and delay thinking I need to hit something that wrote back to the keyboard but still no joy.

Crap.

Crash when double clicking on a drive I've been using for months. This has just started with the new version downloaded yesterday. I had the problem after updating and figured it might be due to the Fuse upgrade so rebooted.

Same thing. I had another drive mounted when attempting to mount this one.

This is the third time it has blown trying to mount a drive up since rebooting. Once things are mounted they seem fine, only having problem trying to mount drive.

I reinstalled preserving users etc. So, the app never would have had to be reinstalled and, I guess, remembered that it had been run before and, so, didn't prompt for the MacFuse installation.

It would have been handy if a missing MacFuse exception had prompted for installation.

I reinstalled OS X and there was no MacFuse installed. Instead of catching the error, ExpanDrive just logged the error to the system.log like so:

The only download available is a zip file and, if MacFuse gets removed (like on an OS reinstall) there's no way to install ExpanDrive from scratch.
