My Tomtom 930T did the same thing here in the US two weeks after I got it. Tomtom refused to fix it at their cost or, as I offered to pay, even at my expense. No customer service exists here in the US. None .
It's sad because with decent customer service in the US Tomtom could easily outdo Garmin. Without it, there's no chance.
