Sorry to immediately make the comparison but Hellotxt.com does something that I reeeeally like (but at the moment they are unable to update Plurk accounts) and I was hoping Ping.fm does the same and I’m just missing something...

On Hellotxt.com, I can type a status update to be as long as I like and when it goes over the typical 140 character mark it will add a shortlink back to the full-length post on the Hellotxt website. Does this feature exist at all for Ping.fm?

If not, I’d like to make a case to add it because not only is it an obvious benefit to Ping.fm users, it would also link people back to the Ping.fm website spurring more new users.

Any word on this? I’ve been using Ping.fm in the mean time but I really miss having the text overflow option from Hellotxt.com.

Any news on new numbers? I just signed for the pro subscription and am hoping to use reQall to start getting organized and would love it if there were a 902 number for Nova Scotia. :-)

Unless I am mistaken, right now, your website only shows one call-in number for Canadian users and it’s an Ontario-based area code... doesn’t this mean that anyone else across the country wanting to use your services would have to pay long distance fees to leave themselves a note?

I have been on/off again considering using SpinVox because it’s the only service of it’s kind that Ping.fm supports but that long distance number is really keeping me away.

I am not a fan of the JOTT link that follows every post to Twitter.

Any way or plans to remove it? I get why it’s there... to let people know it was sent *by* JOTT but when I’m paying for this service, it really rubs me the wrong way that it ends up being more about promotional opportunities for JOTT (on my dime) than it is about providing me a seamless service and user experience.

Not impressed...

Jott already does it but I’m leaning more and more towards reQall and would love it if they did too. Or even better, reQall to Ping.fm. ;^)
