Stephanie replied on August 15, 2009 17:29 to the question "Bunion Friendly?" in Fitzwell:
Hi Carol!
I was able to view the Elena, however, any irritation may be based on the individual. My best suggestion would be, since we offer free return shipping, is to order a pair in your size and try them on at home in a carpeted surface. This would give you an idea of how they would feel, if they don't work out for you and they have not been worn, you can simply send them back, risk free!
I hope that this helps! Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do for you!
Stephanie replied on August 09, 2009 00:35 to the problem "Thought these shoes were guarenteed!" in Dr. Martens:
Hi Chele,
I'm very sorry to hear about about your sandals! If you purchased the sandals through us, I would be happy to look into it further if you have an order number or email address they were purchased under.
If not, here is what Dr. Marten has listed for their warranty:
"Dr. Martens recently introduced a collection of boots and shoes called FOR LIFE. These products, and these products only, do have a lifetime warranty. Please visit the following website for more information and purchasing details about this collection:
http://www.drmartensforlife.com
All other Dr. Martens footwear are covered by a limited warranty. Dr. Martens warrantees its footwear against manufacturing defects, but not wear and tear, fit, size or comfort problems. If you have any questions about our warranties please contact us through this website (http://www.drmartens.com/)"
If you are looking for a repair, here is what they recommend:
"Some problems, such as stitching on the leather upper, broken sandal straps, and other minor problems are repairable. Dr. Martens does not have our own repair facilities, so we suggest that you take the shoes to the repair shop of your choice."
I hope that this information helps! Please feel free to let me know if there is anything else that I can do for you! Have a great day!

Hi Julee,
I am very sorry that we are out of stock in these. It appears that we sent the email to everyone on the notification list, and we actually ran out of them before you made it to the site. I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
I was able to locate these shoes on two other online retailers and I have provided the links below.

Hi Eddie,
Here is what Ecoo has to say about cleaning thier shoes!
Waterproofing spray
ECCO® Universal Spray helps to guard against staining and water penetration.
Smooth leathers
Use a slightly damp cloth to remove excess dirt. Dry naturally, away from direct heat. The leather will remain soft and supple with ECCO® Daily Care Cream. For instant shine use ECCO® Shoe shine sponge.
Nubuck, Suede & Textiles
Before wearing for the first time, use ECCO® Universal Waterproofing Spray, to help protect them. Use ECCO® Nubuck & Suede Eraser or ECCO® Suede Brush to remove dust and dirt and restore the nap to the shoe. Heavy stains can be removed with a ECCO® Foam cleaner. Take care not to over wet the shoes. The suede and nubuck can be conditioned and restored with ECCO® Suede and Nubuck Conditioner.
Oil nubucks
Oils are pumped into the leather during tanning, and produce a good protection. After wiping, use ECCO® Oil Nubuck Conditioner. Protect with ECCO® Oil Nubuck Waterproofing Spray.
GORE-TEX® and GORE-TEX®XCR footwear
We do not recommend the use waxes or dubbins. Follow the tips for nubucks and leathers for everyday care. Protect with ECCO Universal Waterproofing Spray.
At ECCO we recommend ECCO shoe care products, which have been developed for the care of your shoes. but please read the instructions on the containers.
Hope that this information is helpful! Have a good one!
