The With Friends flash badge is, unfortunately, currently broken.

From the Twitter Status blog:

badges: the “with friends” badge is broken. it will either display nothing or information from a default user (i.e. not your content). We’re going to be recoding this to restore its functionality

There is no announced timeline yet for when this will be fixed.

I have this problem too. Have tried re instaling the code but to no evail.

yup! same here. Along with the other problem of my flash badge icon/ acatar/ logo being corrupted and the updating being flaky! Too sad! :(

There are two ways to respond to someone:

1. @replies -- @Replies are public tweets you make that are addressed to another Twitter user. Other people can see that tweet.

2. Direct messages -- Direct messages are private messages that only the recipient of the message can see. Twitter will let you send a direct message only to users who are following you.
