A comment on the problem "eBay permits buyers to unethically steal from sellers" in eBay:

Tracking code shows that the package was delivered. It was also over two months after the package was delivered that the claim was filed. The buyer made absolutely no attempt to contact me about it.

I recieved an internal eBay message (not anything retrievable from half.com) telling me that I had something like 10 days to provide the tracking information. Since I don't log into eBay regularly I never saw this internal message. I only became aware of it after this period was up and I received an email telling me that they were debiting my account due to insufficient tracking information provided. This was a no reply email. There was no place for me to enter in the tracking information in either email. Additionally the tracking information was clearly attached to the transaction.

I can provide all emails and screenshots of correspondence. The only thing I can't provide is the single phone conversation I had where the eBay representative apologized. Admitted that a mistake clearly had been made and then told me that he couldn't fix it because it happened on Half.com and told me he would send the case over to half.com and they would be in touch with me. The next correspondence I had was to tell me that they were going to debit my checking account for the full amount, which they did. – steve55, on July 17, 2008 02:22

eBay permits buyers to unethically steal from sellers
2 months after the item was sold and shipped the Buyer claimed they didn't recieve it. eBay (Half.com) Debited my account the full sale amount because it claimed I didn't provide sufficient tracking information. Which I clearly did and placed in the designated location which recorded that the seller received the item actually one day early.

Every email and correspondence from ebay is a "don't reply" and they provide absolutely no support other than a faq for half.com. Please support your sellers. Don't ask me for things that I already provided and then not even give me a chance to provide them again. Don't take money from the seller and return it to the buyer when the seller clearly shipped the item and it was received.
