A comment on the question "Why don't Education Premium users get Doc Import Feature?" in PBwiki:
Thanks, Kristine. For your information, on my wiki, every page I or my colleagues set up is copied from a Word document. I am constantly asked why it is not possible to import a Word document directly instead of cutting and pasting. Everyone here at PSU would be very thankful if PBWorks decides to let the edu users have this feature. Steve – Steve, on May 19, 2009 17:49

Tim, you're so right. That's the frustrating part. I'm not sure why PBWorks would assume that educators would not be using Word documents and at least give us the opportunity to buy the new features. Hopefully our friends at PBW will come around. – Steve, on May 18, 2009 20:36

Thanks, Cliff, I'll do that. I so seldom have questions, I forget which is the most expedient means to an answer. – Steve, on May 18, 2009 20:33

Why don't Education Premium users get Doc Import Feature?why isn't the new document import feature available to education premium users? I work daily with Word documents and have been waiting for the import feature and now I see it is only available to premium business users. Please reconsider. This is an important feature for everyone who pays for a premium service.

Clif,
thanks for your reply but unfortunately this doesn't solve the problem. The dilemma is that I need the formatting (strikethroughs) to show in the wiki when I paste the text that I copied from the Word document. The people editing the wiki need to see the original changes that were on the Word document and those changes are indicated by strike throughs and underlining.
When I copy the text (with strike throughs) from Word and paste the text into Notepad, the strike throughs disappear in the Notepad.

Notification FrustrationHow can I as an administrator turn off notifications for any given user? I know I've done this before but can't seem to do it now. My boss was set up as a writer to the wiki but he does not want to receive the notification emails. How can I go in and turn off the notifications for him? It would seem to me that it makes sense for the administrator to be able to go in and turn off notifications for someone who asks me to do it.

Strikeouts disappear. Help.Greetings!
As part of my wiki, I cut proposals from a Word document and paste the information into a blank wiki page. Most of the existing formatting works in the new wiki page except strikeouts. The strikeouts come across as the font without the strikeout. Is there anyway to cut and paste Word documents so that the strikeouts show up in the new page?
I've tried saving the Word document as a Wordpad document first and cutting and pasting from the text file but the strikeouts also disappear (i.e., the words are there but the strikeout itself doesn't show).
Any help would be appreciated.
A comment on the problem "Renamed Folders Disappear" in PBwiki:
Vu, this sounds promising but I don't remember the exact title of the two folders that I renamed (and lost) so I can't try this. I'll keep this in mind as I progress and if I lose another folder. – Steve, on May 28, 2008 19:25

Tim, thanks for the suggestion but I have four other folders starting with a number followed by the hyphen and they all work. – Steve, on May 28, 2008 19:23

Renamed Folders DisappearWhen I rename folders they disappear from the folder file and I can't retrieve them. Example: I renamed "UCC GC Proposals" to "3 - UCC GC Proposals" and it disappeared. I have logged out and back in to see if that would help but the folders are still not appearing in the folder sidebar.
