Ok - you got it.
I tried adding a few different web addresses based upon what I saw in by signing into hotmail thru IE - but none that I entered seemed to work. Therefore I will leave the check box unchecked - though to be honest I would much prefere to have a double layer of protection for those pesky pop ups and pop unders....

You got it!
Unchecking that flag stopped the display of the pop up error message.
So the next question is how do we set a rule to allow web filtering for this outlook process - but filter the rest?

I assme you meant the "Privacy" sub tab under the Web tab? Anyhow the three "cookie" settings are all unchecked (I did not change them - they were already that way).

Hi,
When I disable the firewall the problem goes away.
I already have outlook defined in the list of applications on the Network Security tab.
I changed all settings for Outlook to "Permit", and I changed all settings for Any other App to Ask.
The problem still persists. What I have found though is that it appears the "delete" message is getting to the hotmail server and actually deleting the message because when I hit "Send/Receive" to redisplay any new email message etc - then the email that I "deleted" that generated the pop up message - is gone.
So it appears that this firewall is somhow trapping something to do with the deletion confirmation coming back (I think).
However, performing the changes mentioned above did not resolve the issue - though disabling the firewall does.

Any further thoughts?
