"Please try again in a while"
This is the most retarded phrase I've encountered online in a while. I tried in an hour, two hours, waited over night...I still get the same dumb, indefinite response.

Sure, I am ranting a bit, but you would too. I am trying to close escrow and in order to complete the mortgage insurance they need 24 months of past rent checks (to prove I pay my rent on time and I'm not some deadbeat). Ok, royal pain but I understand. I call the stupid 800 number and my call gets routed to the philippines call center to someone who is probably just reading a phone script. Great. I painstakingly go through the ordering process...wait almost two weeks, the envelope arrives...and I get none of the checks I ordered. Instead, I get copies of checks I can already see myself (ones within the 90 day window, where you can download the check image yourself.)

So, I go online, discover that you can order each check there. ok, surely they will give me an option to have them emailed to me directly. Nope, I have to wait again for them to be mailed. Fine. I order all the checks, painstakingly recording the confirmation number for each one as I am SURE they will screw up again. When i get to the very last check, I enter it and get the infamous, "We're sorry, our system is currently unavailable. We are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again in a while" message for the past twelve hours or so. So, as I cant trust customer service, now I have to go into the bank. As soon as the dust settles I am taking my money out of wamu/chase forever.

I've been a customer since 1982, back when it was Great Western Savings. I'm done here.
