Do you have a link to the Firefox bug report? Creating a new profile would mean reinstalling all my extensions and resetting all preferences. This is not something I want to do on a whim.
In your other posts of this solution, the issue was always loss of ALL passwords, which is not my issue. – SteveL, on July 09, 2009 00:26 -

Individual passwords get randomly droppedAlthough I posted in the "forgot all passwords" threads, that's not really my problem. For me, I find that Firefox has occasionally forgotten a password to a particular site, forcing me to re-enter it. There is no pattern to this, sometimes it's a site I have not used in months, sometimes it's one I logged into just the previous day. Other passwords are still there and fine. I'd say I run into this 2-3 times a week. I have hundreds of passwords saved.
I've taken to recording my passwords in another application as a backup, because I can't trust Xmarks to remember them. I do have several PCs sharing the same Xmarks profile, but typically I do not separate out passwords by profile.
This started happening long before FF3.5 was released. -

I'm not No Name I, but the problem I have is that Xmarks forgets SOME of my passwords, not all. I do not have Firefox clear private data on exit. The majority of passwords are remembered, but every once in a while it forgets one that I use regularly, and a different one each time. I've also been having this problem - very annoying. If I didn't also save passwords in another way, I'd be in deep trouble. -
