In the meantime I solved the problems.....the only way it working out is to remove (rename) personal info in Firefox (documents and settings) and do a comple reinstall. (you can use the Firefox addons (or even Mozilla backup tool) for your bookmarks & passw file to reinstall do this before you remove your old Firefox version, you need those files for import again.

Am getting a similar problem: Secure Connection Failed www.amazon.co.uk uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 12/02/2008 23:59. (Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate) Not just on amazon, but on a ton of sites e.g. humyo.com, 123-reg.co.uk. Should I have to make exceptions for 50% of the sites I visit? Running Windows Xp and had no probs with FF2. Hope you can help as with a web browser, I'd like to be able to browse the web. Thanks Mick – microbe, on June 19, 2008 15:24

Try following
Locate firefox.js
For portable version look at ..\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\defaults\pref
Find section
// Controls behavior of the "Add Exception" dialog launched from SSL error pages
change
pref("browser.ssl_override_behavior", 1)
to
pref("browser.ssl_override_behavior", 2)
Now when visiting "incorrect" SSL site you should get clickable message at the bottom of warning window
Or you can add an exception...
Click on it and you can add this SSL certificate to FF3

Not really. I installed the last release candidate, which is the same as the final v3. I think the problem is with the Estonian state PKI. More info on this thread: http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_...
Cleaning out all personal info in FF solved it, but I'm not sure what will happen next time I use my Internet bank. Note that I use that one with an electronic ID card - so I am sending certificates along myself (for identification and signature) through a java applet.

Odd. I'm unable to reproduce this. We've been testing for weeks with Firefox3 release candidates and using the 3.0 final release, https://my.pbwiki.com/ seems to load fine. Equifax Secure Global eBusiness CA-1 is the issuer; do you have your security set to non-standard or have you changed the list of root certificates in your repository?
Steven asked a question in PBwiki on June 18, 2008 09:42:
Certificate problem in Firefox 3Hi guys,
After using my home banking system, the my.pbwiki page (which I have set as homepage) all of a sudden told me:
"my.pbwiki.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)"
Any ideas on how to solve this?

Please consider an alert box / message when you are performing A / B testing or flipping small changes in a short (< week?) time frame.
I was helping several former employees with job searches at the time that these changes occured and it was very difficult to explain the value / stability of a system that appeared to be 'twitchy'

The lack of transparency about pricing is maddening. I don't like the 'personal touch' of getting a price quote. It gives me all the ickiness of buying a car. I just feel like I am getting snookered because I can't see the facts - the features, storage space, number of allowed users, and prices based on each. This may keep me from signing up, to be honest. This issue comes up again and again all over the board. It's not an issue of needing try before you buy. I've tried it. I just want transparent pricing. Otherwise, I don't think I'm gonna bite.

Well, I think Tim's referring to creating such a script on his end, which, if you are using the API, would indeed be trivial. For the POST...maybe you could make curl pretend to be you? May be easier just to wait for the proper function in the 2.0 api... – Vu Nguyen, on April 25, 2008 01:26

Just to make something? Yes, we already have that. To make sure that all the wild and wacky things users have done with their 1.0 wikis don't die a flaming death when they are introduced to 2.0? Slightly more difficult. But don't worry, we're on it :) – Casey Greene, on April 22, 2008 19:21
