A comment on the problem "Unable to Export--Application not Responding" in Connected Flow:
No. I even went in and manually removed the exporter and all preference lists. It goes through the preparing step but when it reaches the exporting step it hangs. – Steven Buehler, on March 06, 2009 12:20

Steven Buehler replied on March 03, 2009 17:49 to the idea "How about using the GPS/Place data from iPhoto 09?" in Connected Flow:
I see that part of the issue is that when you've designated a place for a picture in iPhoto '09, it doesn't write the information to the file. It only writes the geodata to the file when exporting to a file and you check the option to include Location information. Once you've done that, and also enabled Flickr to read that information in your Account settings online, then the location will appear in Flickr.
Otherwise, you have to use iPhoto's posting to Flickr, which is really syncing the set (if you delete the set from iPhoto, it deletes it from Flickr).

How about using the GPS/Place data from iPhoto 09?Would like to see FlickrExport be able to use iPhoto '09's Place data instead of having to grab it from Google Earth all over again, as well as post the geodata back to iPhoto.-

Steven Buehler replied on May 05, 2008 00:54 to the question "Is @panopticons abusing the Terms of Service" in Twitter:
Technically, apart from a terms of service violation, that's as far as one could go with Mr. Simon unless he actually attempts physical harm to somebody or starts springing DoS attacks, and even then it's under Federal Law assuming he's not in the same state as you. The only other alternative (IANAL, BTW) is a civil suit, which would probably cost more than anyone would recover.
Kick him off for a TOS? Sure! He'd just open a new account with different information and pick up where he left off. Sounds effective to me.
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Internet, where *EVERYONE* has the equal right and privilege to speak, whether we like what they say or not. "Eat the meat; spit out the bones."
This is not the first such idiot I've had to deal with (see Google on "Steve Winter prime.org"), and the best way to deal with such people is to ignore them and not respond to anything they write no matter how stupid it is. After a while, when they figure out they're not having the effect they want, they pick up their marbles and go home.
