To get Windows Media Player to work with Windows Vista 32-bit and 64 bit

1.) Go to http://kb.mozillazine.org/Windows_Med...

2.) Click on each of the .dll links and download and save to the following directories

Windows Vista 32-bit - C:\Program Files\Flock\plugins
Windows Vista 64-bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Flock\plugins

After saving the .dll files to that folder close the browser and reopen it. Then in the address bar (where you put in the web site address) put in about:plugins and you should see Windows Media Player there. Also go to Tools>Add-ons and when that window opens click on plug-ins and see if it is there. If it is in both places then the plug-in is working.

This browser crashed again for a second time in 20 minutes. It gave the same exact error message.

I use Cool Iris with flock 2.0.3 with no issues.

It is about damn time a Flock employee shows up and gives any sort of information on how to fix this. What took so long.

This all could have been fixed long ago if the people at Flock cared about the people that use their product. If they did then they would have had one of their people telling us how to fix it. Did they do that. NO. That shows how much pride they have in their product. If I was to tell someone about this browser I would them about all the great features it had, but if the have issues don't contact the company that makes the browser cause they will not help you at all. I got my help from the Mozilla Firefox IRC channel which is sad.

Let me know when you get real technical support for this browser then I might recommend it to others, but until then I will not recommend garbage.

Thanks to the Firefox IRC channel I was able to get this fixed. I am starting to not like this browser anymore cause none of the people that work for the browser never suggested how to fix this.

I don't know how to do any of that. Why can't the plugin work when I install it. Where are the people that made this browser with an answer.

I have downloaded and installed the plugin and the browser does not recognize it. I searched the hard drive for np-mswmp.dll and I don't have that either. How do I fix this.

I did a search in Vista x86 (32-bit) for np-mswmp.dll and it is NOT finding it. Also do not tell me to uninstall Media Player 11 cause I can't since it came with Windows. I even checked the IE7 plugin folder and its not there. I checked the Windows Media player folded and it's not there either. Now what do I need in order to fix this.

The only Mozilla based program I have installed is Flock. I still cannot get Media Player to show up in plugins. Where are the people that created this browser at. They should be the ones fixing this.
