Low quality encoding of Naked Music - Re-CreationHi!
I think the encoding quality of http://open.spotify.com/album/5ZBbVQ3... is below the typical standard of Spotify songs - which in this case is a shame as the album (Re-Creation by Naked Music) sounds really nice had it not been for the mp3 artifacts!
I've played the tracks on last.fm as well, and it seems the encoding artifacts are present there as well - in particular with the tracks Love Only One and Hurry - Blue Six Dub.
The artifacts are typical of using too low bitrate when ripping mp3s as in the early 90s, the full dynamic of the sound is gone, and for low-volume high-frequency pieces the sound is breaking up.
Ticking 'High bitrate' does not affect the quality.

What is needed is a way for the Spotify users (of which there are constantly more joining) to be able to report directly and suggest fixes to the data, as can be done in last.fm.
Use the power of the people!
This could also solve the problem of genres currently being meaningless, although for that case I believe the users would have to be allowed to specify the correct genre as well, as so many of the songs are wrongly classified.
A button for reporting wrong data or errors in the encoding right in Spotify is the least you can do, now we'll have to put a request in getsatisfaction, but even for more popular artists like Supergrass we'll just end up with 8 followers and the problem is probably never spotted by Spotify and whoever is doing the tagging.-

Users should not be required to look in the middle of a large FAQ to find what kind of music they can browse for when using an application that is all about browsing and playing music.
Do you have to look in the Amazon FAQ pages to figure out what kind of sections they have on their store? No, that's what the main menus are all centred around.-

The genres of Spotify is a total joke, for my sake this feature could just be removed. I never get House music under 'House' radio and search genre:House, there's even some tracks from 1974 listed, together with Madonna, Pet shop boys, various rap music, and.. this is the best: A*Teens.
For me the main problem with Spotify is how to find new music, the only way I know to work the user interface is to search for songs or artists I already know.
I wonder why the social knowledge of all the Spotify users are not exploited and exposed in any way.-
