I was using gmail to, and it worked for me.
BUT, when I dropped the license-file on the Silverback icon it said it wasn't valid. Then I tried to open the pref. pane, and dropped it into the register field and it worked perfectly. – stockmarr, on October 21, 2009 08:05

I just upgraded to Snow Leopard, and I'm experiencing the exact same problem.
What do you mean by trashing your preferences?
