Today I tried changing my old email address (which didn't exist anymore) to another one (not OIB). This worked. Then I changed it to my OIB address, and this worked too. So if someone raises this issue again, you could ask whether his old email address still exists. I don't know if this has any influence, but I guess it's worth investigating.

Daniel asked a question in OtherInbox on August 19, 2009 06:49:
Why do you use redirection links in e-mails?If I click on a link in any e-mail I view via the OIB web interface, OIB always takes me to a cryptic address which then redirects to the original page. Why do you change the e-mails' links? Do you track which pages I visit? Why?

I think every hour is often enough! As long as I know, I can adjust. After all, OIB is for reducing the noise in your regular inbox, isn't it? At least for me, it wouldn't make sense to know about new messages instantly. It could actually be couter-productive.
After your suggestion in the other thread to try another browser, I checked out the feed with Firefox. I think the reason for the long delays I experienced is my news reader. Refreshing NetNewsWire doesn't show new messages, even if they arrived many hours before. I will contact the NetNewsWire developers regarding this issue. Thanks for your support!

Don't worry, it's actually not your fault. But it would be nice if you would find a workaround, because Inquisitor is really popular and useful! – Daniel, on July 28, 2009 19:48

It happens only in Safari. I tried the newest versions of Firefox, Camino, and Opera. Camino and Opera show a warning about upgrading the browser. In the Safari, I have the following plug-ins installed: Evernote, Inquisitor, Google Gears. If you need more information, please tell me. – Daniel, on July 28, 2009 18:14

Daniel asked a question in Philips on July 26, 2009 21:33:
Will there be a LED backlight version of the 21:9 Cinemascope TV?With the Cinema 21:9, Philips brought a 21:9 Cinemascope format TV to the market. I think it is a great device. Finally you can watch movies in their original format without black horizontal borders. But after seeing the picture of LED backlight TVs I personally I would not buy any TV anymore that does not use LED backlight technology. The picture looks much better. Black is as black as it should be, and not grey.
Does anyone know whether Philips plans to update the TV to use LED backlight technology, and when? Did any other companies announce to build a 21:9 TV too, using that technology?

How often does OIB update its RSS feeds? What is the interval at which my OIB feed updates? Because I often receive notifications in my RSS reader about new messages only after several hours. It checks the feed for unread messages every 30 minutes though.

Hi Hoon,
I added a screenshot of my Safari 4.0.2 settings. I translated the text, since I assume you do not speak German.
OIB brings itself to the foreground no matter how I open it. I can type in the address, hit enter and then quickly switch tabs. Or I can open it via CMD-click from the bookmarks toolbar or bookmarks menu. When it comes to the foreground I see the OIB loading screen for the fraction of a second, and then I see the loaded interface. So I guess whatever brings it to the front must happen right before loading is finished.
You always reply very quickly and friendly. Thank you!

Please don't let OtherInbox steal the window / tab focus! Each time I open OtherInbox in a window or tab in the background, it steals the focus of the currently active window. It should not do that. No web page should do that.
