Unwillingness to provide something as simple and desirable as the ability to see your mail sorted by date and time does not make the possibility of Google Chrome OS sound very inviting. Will we still be able to sort our folder and file lists the way we want - by name, date modified, size, type, etc., or will we only get to sort them the one way that Google thinks is ok?

SL Jira WEB-982 "Posting problems for blogs.secondlife.com" (Connection Interrupted)Please vote for the SL jira issue WEB-982 " IPosting problems for blogs.secondlife.com" http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB... .
I'm tired of the "Connection Interrupted" messages and having to clear all my cookies and relog in to the forums, jira, wiki, blog, etc.
This issue was filed by Argent Stonecutter. Here's the text of the issue:
"The blog hung after posting, twice. Firefox/Mac. Just get a blank page back with "Done" in the status line.
I think the fancy Javascript is probably responsible. It looks nifty to have turn right into a smiley, and so on, but it doesn't really provide significant benefits. Simplify simplify simplify.
Additional problems: the frame vanished from around the comments, had to force reload to get it back."

Does Photobucket image editing work with Flock 2?Are the Photobucket image editing tools such as crop and resize supposed to be working with Flock2.0.3? They aren't for me. It looks like it works, I get the crop rectangle, and it looks like it should work, but when I click save, the image that gets saved is the original image.-

SuezanneC Baskerville replied on January 09, 2009 06:11 to the question "Why does html character #9139 look different on two Flocks?" in Flock:
One thing that could be different about the two installations of Flock is how the region and language settings in Win XP were set at the time of installation.
Control Panel, Region and Language Options, Advanced, Language for non-Unicode programs might have been set to English on one machine and to Chinese on the other.
Does anyone know if the Region and Language settings have any effect during a Flock installation?
SuezanneC Baskerville replied on January 09, 2009 06:07 to the question "Why does html character #9139 look different on two Flocks?" in Flock:
The font settings in both instances of Flock are set exactly the same.
Default font is Georgia, size 14.
Fonts for Western.
Proportional: Serif, 14
Serif: Georgia
Sans-Serif: Verdana
Monospace: Tahoma, 14
Allow pages to choose their own fonts is enabled.
Default character encoding is Western ISO-8850-1.
The character is produced in the source code with an extended html character code.
What part of the system determines exactly which font ends up being displayed? Does Flock pick the font?

Why does html character #9139 look different on two Flocks? What would cause extended html character #9139 to display differently on two installations of Flock under Windows?
I have Flock 2.02 installed on two machines, one with Win XP Pro, and one with Win XP Home. I am seeing a difference between these two installations on how some extended HTML characters are displayed. It's character #9139, which should look somewhat like the letter L, which some silly person was using as the letter L to spell out "LOL". On the browser with XP Pro, the character displays correctly, but on the other, it looks like a Chinese character in a box, I think, somewhat at least, or some kind of domino or window shutter. The page source code for this section is somewhat like : smallfont & # 9 1 3 9 ; 0 & # 9 1 3 9
This might well not be a Flock question but maybe someone reading this will know the answer anyway.
Thanks.

Where to find certificate exceptions granted?I got a security warning, apparently from Flock's interface, about a web site having an invalid certificate. I don't recall the exact text of the message. I was offered the option of granting an exception or exemption to the normal certificate requirements. The message had a phrase to the effect of "A legitimate bank, store, or other other public site would not ask you to do this."
My question is, where would I look to find a record of this exception?

GMX has ads with pictures in the emails, right? I couldn't tell from looking if it has video ads or still images. Gmail's text ads off to the side aren't too annoying to me.
Yahoo's spam filter sucks.
Does GMX allow you to see a threaded view when you want?
True threads are made from replies to replies to replies, not just matching subjects
I'd like to see the incoming mail by order received or order sent, as I choose, and then for any particular message, have a option to see the thread the message is in, in forward or reverse sequence.
