Actually... you can't drag to the bumptop during the first run after it is installed. You have to restart it to get it to work. That's my problem. :)

Some icons are GONE!

Icons simply don't show up sometimes. This is especially annoying when I'm editing a word document: every single time you change it, the item is actually deleted, then recreated. Sometimes Bumptop simply refuses to show an icon when it is created, and this results in the word document disappearing from my bumptop, while it still exists in my desktop folder. To restore it, I have to drag it out of my desktop and back for it to have a chance of showing up.

I think an easy way to fix this problem would be a "rescan desktop icons" option that doesn't reset the positions like the current one does, but runs through the list of icons on the real desktop, and adds missing icons. (Or have it do it automatically every minute or something.)

Actually, it's the same 1 to 2 minutes for folders of ANY size. The thing that depends on the size is the amount of time it takes all the icons to load AFTER the 1 - 2 minute pause where I'd assume bumptop was loading. – Sum1Else, on August 22, 2008 16:26

I would like to inject my own observations here. Once I accidentally clicked the bumptop button in a window. The window went blank and unresponsive. About a minute later, the bumptop shows up, and that begins loading.

What is the window doing during the approximate 1 minute freeze?

Oh and my accidental click was with 1178 pictures. I was about to give up on testing bumptop. XD – Sum1Else, on August 21, 2008 17:34
