I note that the login widget is different. I like it. Problem, though: It no longer fits in the space I allocated on our web site. The "Sign In" button seems to be covering the check box text for "remember me". The area type is set for the login widget which is configured vertically, so I thought I could just make the layout space larger by adjusting the height, but that doesn't seem to help. Any thoughts?
Summiteer asked a question in AirSet on August 08, 2009 18:27:
Activity Feed on Our Web PageCan I get the Activity Feed feature to display on a web page? It appears inline while in design mode but give me a "click to login" prompt on the actual site and then takes me to the web computer desktop instead of displaying on the page like I'd like. Can you educate me a bit on how I should expect the Activity Feed app to work in a web publishing environment?
A comment on the question "Drag 'n drop into a room?" in Picurio:
The uploads album with my email address is in the room. Sadly, I still can't get things working. One question: When I logon, is the demo room supposed to be one of my rooms by default? – Summiteer, on August 06, 2009 22:38

Drag 'n drop into a room?OK, I uploaded some photos to my library and then drag n' drop some into my Reunion room and to an album in that room. Then I logout and go back to the site using just the URL for the room. Nothing there. I log back in and check the album in the Reunion room and still nothing there. What am I doing wrong?
A comment on the question "Are you planning a help menu?" in Picurio:
Thanks for your quick answer, Jonathan. I think the help menu would be a big help. I had already checked the FAQ and realized that it didn't really address the nuts n bolts stuff I was needing, so that's why I decided to ask. I kind of figured there must be answers so I appreciate your response. I'll likely generate more. When I do I'll post them here one by one where they may be helpful to others until you get your help index going. Based on my usual learning curve you'll probably be hearing from me soon! :) Thanks again. Best of luck with this project. – Summiteer, on August 05, 2009 22:11
Summiteer asked a question in Picurio on August 05, 2009 21:53:
Are you planning a help menu?I'm new to what sounds like a good idea. I'm working on a photo sharing solution for an upcoming class reunion. My biggest problem so far is the lack of a help menu. As I'm getting started I needed to know some stuff like
--Can I upload a gif file of our class logo? Apparently not, but that's an assumption.
--How do I add a caption to the photos? The demo page has 'em, but I can't figure out how they got there.
--I notice FaceBook avatars on the tool bar but they don't seem to do anything. Wussupwithat? We've got a group album on FB and it would be cool to upload that to Picurio to get things started. Looks like that's an option, but I don't know how to make it work.
There's a few other kinda glitchy things, too, but you get the idea. Is there a help index on the way? Either the service is premature to be out of beta, or I just don't know what I'm doing and can't figure out how to educate myself.
Thanks for all your work. It looks promising.
A comment on the question "Where are the playback controls on a playlist?" in AirSet:
You're probably right. I've been using RealPlayer as a default media player. I remember trying to change program defaults somewhere--I can't remember when or why. I don't believe it was within AirSet. Anyhow, I have a vague recollection of trying to get free of Media Player. I didn't realize that AirSet depended on it. I'll not mess with that in the future. I'll just keep the Windows mp even though I choose not to use it. Thanks again. – Summiteer, on July 17, 2009 01:18

I upgraded to 3.5. Presto! the controls reappeared. That did it. Thanks! Gotta wonder, though, why the issue just appeared, and will it be a problem to a lot of visitors to the site? Hoping not. – Summiteer, on July 16, 2009 17:16

I'm using Firefox 3.0.11 on a Vista machine. The controls don't appear on the page for me. Pop-up blocker isn't enabled; I tried disabling AdBlock, but still got no controls. Would clearing private data and history make a difference? – Summiteer, on July 16, 2009 14:12

This issue just popped up on our site. Was there a solution to pjsoli problem?
Our site is www.macarthurchristian.com on the "Learning & Growing" tab. I'm using Firefox. The problem just occurred.-

A comment on the question "RSVPs Forever and ever and ever..." in AirSet:
Concerning the quotation marks problem: I had put the text with the quotation marks inside parentheses---a parenthetical comment. I wonder if that is what caused the problem of html code printing instead of the straight quotes in the email. Ya think? – Summiteer, on July 02, 2009 21:31
Summiteer replied on July 02, 2009 21:26 to the question "RSVPs Forever and ever and ever..." in AirSet:
We've scheduled a leader's meeting every month and it's helpful to know how many to expect so we can get enough donuts and coffee...or avoid getting too much; enough hand-outs and other resources. As far as that goes, if a particular team leader isn't able to make it, we can try to get a sub for them.
As you say, it's not all that hard to edit each occurrence make change it to an RSVP event. As far as that goes, I could just schedule each meeting individually every month instead of multiple months in advance. A task reminder would remind me to do that as easily as reminding me to edit the event.
Thanks, again. AirSet has become a key part of my organization strategy.
A comment on the question "RSVPs Forever and ever and ever..." in AirSet:
Thanks. I think I can do that. It will just mean that I need to set up a task reminder or something so I don't forget---not that I would EVER forget! Thanks for your help on this. Having not used the RSVP feature before it didn't occur to me that I shouldn't send out an initial notice of the recurring event when I created it. I'll use your suggestion. – Summiteer, on July 02, 2009 20:55
A comment on the question "RSVPs Forever and ever and ever..." in AirSet:
It would be great if reminders could go out with the RSVP option. As for the quotation marks, the html code appeared in the email notice that was sent to the participants when I changed (ie, scheduled) the event in Calendar. – Summiteer, on July 02, 2009 15:11
A comment on the problem "Navigation Gadget Pops its Buttons" in AirSet:
OK, now I go to the site and some of the pages have the buttons back, but others are still only text without the button images. All this without "help" from me. Strange things are happening... – Summiteer, on July 01, 2009 22:43
Summiteer asked a question in AirSet on July 01, 2009 22:17:
RSVPs Forever and ever and ever...A couple of problems with RSVP.
I'd like to send a reminder with an RSVP request for a recurring event. I thought the email reminder would come out with the RSVP option for each occurrence, but I've sent out the event notice and find that folks are RSVPing for all future occurrences of the event, not just the upcoming one. RATS! What's going to happen when the automatic reminders are sent, in this case, three days before the event? Is the RSVP option going to come out with the reminder for each occurrence?
Also, I attempted to use quotation marks in the email notification and got the html tags (ie, "MC") in the note where the quotes should be. Pretty embarrassing when I'm dealing with computer resistant folks who will surely shake their heads, sigh deeply and say, "what was all that gibberish in that email?" What's the problem there? Or do I need to avoid certain punctuation marks?
A comment on the problem "Navigation Gadget Pops its Buttons" in AirSet:
I'll send you the login information. The problem seems to go away if I change the setting in the "Edit Page Navigation" box of the gadget. If I check "Provide Button Image" instead of the original "Design Your Button" the button images return. For some reason, the "Design Your Button" code doesn't load when the site is accessed outside of Airset--at least on my home computer. This is a problem that seems to have just emerged spontaneously. The site is at http://www.macarthur.airset.com. I've reset the button images on some pages, but left the original settings on others. I'm going to check it out on another computer and see if maybe the problem is a local setting or something...(I'm back. Same problem on another computer). – Summiteer, on June 29, 2009 15:01
