Privacy (the big one!): Your backups of our data, overall measuresThere are already a few questions concerning privacy here, but I also have one that's slightly different. Your privacy policy indicates that, while terminating our accounts automatically removes our data from your servers, our information may remain in your backup databases indefinitely. Is this just our personal information (what we used to establish an account with you) or also our other data (reminders, voice-notes/transcriptions, to-dos, etc)? Why is that maintained, and is there any way you can eliminate it?
You have the makings of a great service; I'd sign up right away, actually...but privacy is my overwhelming, overriding concern...it is what makes me hesitate. There are a lot of things that can be collected and used about someone (locations, personal habits/routines, contacts, proprietary notes, etc) that give me pause...Although I've heard some of the answers your company employs (registration numbers for transcriptionists/data, etc), I'd like more details on how your company addresses this issue...it's a very troubling one for me.
Thanks!-

Superion_Unit asked a question in I want Sandy on July 03, 2008 00:09:
What sort of security/privacy protections are in place for your data...?I'd like to use Sandy for more personal/private reminders, but I'm a little concerned about the security/privacy of such things. Can someone tell me more about this? Also, I'm just curious: is there any plan in the works to make Sandy an actual application (residing on a client's machine only)? That'd be great for security purposes!
