halloween san francisco spam has been bypassing akismet on intense debate enabled blogs... i have received like 40 spam messages on my blogs in the recent hours.

i was looking for this as well.

currently my dashboard won't highlight the blogs which need attention when it comes to unmoderated comments.

i have to visit each blog individually!

i guess it would be cool if we can get a global unmoderated comment section where we can manage all the comments from all the blogs in one location!

just tried it on one of the blogs on my mu installation. seems to be doing well.

they are true duplicates. disqus probably messed up during sync and made two copies of each comment.

so if IntenseDebate import only one copy of the comment... would the changes be synced back to WordPress database? or the database would still retain the dupes while ID would display only one on the blog?

I previously tried experimenting with Disqus. Something went wrong and a blog of mine ended up with duplicate comments.

Cleaning up these comments turned out to be a monumental task considering the blog is 4-5 years old and has lots of comments.

I am now playing around with IntenseDebate hoping that the system would notice the dupes and clean them automatically.

Any such luck?

User Interface messed up on Windows Vista.

This happened all of a sudden after a proper reboot.

I have not tried rebooting which might resolve the problem.

But decided to post here...

i cannot think pidgin managing twitter for me. but postbox can do that just like tweetdeck.

i am not sure if it bothers other users but i hate thunderbird and now postbox for opening up a new window for sending emails.



why cannot we have a background process for both sending and recieving emails which can be popped out into a detailed window just like how it is done in outlook...

I believe this can be done by the backend people. But this makes a lot of sense. Enable users to have content from all of their claimed blogs display with Limited Recommendations.

Also, some information in the backend that displays the content that has been indexed by the Outbrain crawlers.

i like using postbox as a replacement for thunderbird. it makes things easier compared to other email clients i have used.

i just wished sending email does not open up a new window... that annoys me somewhat.

Dell LCD Dark Spot Problem

I have a Dell 24" LCD Screen. The screen has developed some dark spots. I assumed that it was dirt and tried to clean it off.

I have tried a moist cloth. I also tried a LCD Cleaning solution I got from the market.

But the spots are not going away.

They are not really dead pixels because I can see the data on the screen behind those dark spots.

my question is. would dell customer support help me in this case?

the surface is not damaged. i can assure you that. i checked the surface while the screen was off, there was no damage to the surface of the LCD.

What should I do?

The screen came with a three year warranty. I am still in the first year of ownership.

I have the same laptop purchased around the same time. I have the same problem and dell did not replace my battery since a year has passed by.

inspiron 1520 battery complaints are all over the web. the company probably messed up.

the model was replaced with 1525 and i hear few problems on that model.

i guess we are the orphaned dell customers.

and dell guys sent me a quotation for a new battery. 10,000 rupees for 6 cell and 15000 for 9 cell.
