Man am I glad I found this site! When I switched to another server I was also charged a deactivation fee but for the amount of $31.47. Why were you charged one rate and me another? It goes to show that Bell feels they can do whatever they want. My bill dated 03/20/09 was supposed to only cover 7 days of service but I was billed for a full month. Even though Bell was notified of my disconnection way before my bill was printed. I paid the full amount because I was told by a Bell rep that I would receive the balance for 23 days of service. I should have known I was being set up to be scammed. When I received an e-bill on 04/23/09. The bill stated it was my final bill. Bell claimed I would only receive a credit of $4.83. On that bill I was charged for a long distance call that was placed after the disconnection date. I called Bell to complain, the manager told me because I was a valued customer, I would be credited $10. What an insult! After that I was sent an e-mail stating that my April bill was now an "interim" bill. I was told I would receive one more bill on 05/20/09. They said I would receive a cheque 4 to 6 weeks later as long as there were no long distance calls placed after disconnection date. How can Bell charge me for calls placed after disconnection? When a customer pays their bill late they are charged late fees. If you don't pay your balance by a certain date your service is disconnected. Shouldn't Bell give you the money you are owed right away. In this day of technology it would only take minutes to calculate how much money they owe you. I also will never deal with Bell again! I HATE BELL! T-roy
