A comment on the idea "Text-Only Version of Your Library for the iPhone" in Delicious Monster:
Actually there are several softwares that allow one to transfer files to the iPhone... Pretty basic stuff... – T. S. Melo, on October 17, 2008 02:13
A comment on the question "How can I use DL to manage my classical music collection? Oh, it's digital!" in Delicious Monster:
Actually, all my albums are already 100% tagged with everything that iTunes offers me: composer, album artist, grouping, comments... But this is still too basic...
Here are a few of the things I would like to do, none of them possible with a iTunes-only workflow:
1. Filling things like recording location, recording date (separate from year of release of the CD), conductor, soloists, orchestra, transcriber (arranged by), etc etc etc... Currently all this info can only be packed in groupings and comments...
2. Being able to access Amazon synopsis, reviews and recommendations (currently possible in DL only for CDs entered manually—supposedly "physical" CDs... This feature is not available for the iTunes Music albums... This is a small change that would be a big improvement... I'm currently considering entering all my CDs' info manually in DL (all already in iTunes), just to be able to access these data... I haven't done it yet, and I'll probably never will, at least not without feeling like the dumbest mouth-breather in town...
3. Being able to attach some files to each CD entry: PDF booklet (iTunes does it, but you end up with 2 different things: the CD + the PDF... I would prefer to have the PDF "attached" to the CD), other reviews from classical music sites (Gramophone magazine, for example)...
etc etc etc
Thanks for replying, though... – T. S. Melo, on October 17, 2008 02:07-

T. S. Melo replied on August 05, 2008 21:30 to the problem "Book icon size is odd." in Delicious Monster:
Just to clarify... You're entering the "real" book dimensions and they don't change in the display? Or do you want all the books to look the same size and are not able to achieve that??? Because DL shows the books in their real proportions and their real relations with one another... It never failed to me...
Actually, the only time I had an odd display it was due to the dimensions retrieved from Amazon being incomplete... Other than that it works beautifully... In fact it's one of the "small" details that make all the difference to my eyes, when you compare DL with any other software of the category...-
