Actually, Tamara, AdWords is where you buy keywords for people to find your wiki. You pay money for adwords. I think you mean AdSense, where you place ads on your site, and Google pays you. I have successfully used AdSense on a V1.0 wiki (see an example here. I have not been able to get tem to work in a V2.0 wiki yet. Are you using a V1.0 or V2.0 wiki?

In V2.0, you may need to put code in the Google Gadgets plugin.

We've always encouraged people to use wikis to make money if they can. Just keep in mind that you may have to use a premium account. Free accounts should not be used for business.

I can't be certain that the adwords code will work perfectly in a wiki but I'm willing to help if you need it.
