Just one more vote in favor of post editing. Just today I sent an email check-in from my phone and then posted a photo. However, I'm on Verizon and didn't know that Brightkite had again stopped accepting emails from the Verizon domain. So, the photo posted, but it had the wrong location attached to it (the prior check-in). I'd like to be able to fix it.

Id still like the ability to edit old posts and mark them as private, while the new "always private" for a location is awesome, I still have posts from before that I'd rather not delete, but would like some way of marking private so that all posts from my house ever made are private.

The opposite effect, there have been several times in the past where i've forgotten to mark myself public while leaving my house, and would like to mark those checkins/photos as public instead of re-posting and deleting the incorrect one.

Actually this would also be solved if there were private placemarks, since I'd never need to switch modes again.

Evolver, I would really like this feature as well, as I am pretty bad about forgetting to toggle between Private and Public. It is a high priority item on our to-do list. We don't have an ETA, but this feature is coming.

I'd at least like to make entries public if they are accidentally private. It's frustrating that clicking on the padlock will not allow the action to be reversed. Thanks!

the "Me & My Friends" tab doesn't seem to update every time. it's more like a log. you have this friend X. Friend X post a photo. The photo shows in your "Me & My Friends" tab. you unfriend Friend X. The photo does not get removed. the log is persistent. A week later you add Friend X again. The "Me & My Friends" tab won't have what friend X has been posting for the past week. New friend X posts begin appearing. the log fills and persists.

will we be able to edit our past posts in the future? with the number of methods to check in and post, sometimes conflicts occur, errors are made, and unintended posts happen.
